Autodesk University is an annual event for Autodesk software users organized by the U.S.-based software developer, Autodesk, Inc. The event aims to provide users with the experience of online training to learn useful tips and techniques for popular software such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor. Autodesk University boasts of providing quality information and software know-how straight from the top instructors, speakers and lecturers from around the world.
The Autodesk University is currently at its 15th year of providing excellent training, education, software and courses that greatly benefit users and their companies.
For the 2007 Autodesk University, Autodesk offers a curriculum of 575 to 600 multilevel training classes that are classified into 18 tracks. Each of these courses aim to provide users with vital software information and techniques to help them and their companies obtain competitive benefits. The laboratories are grouped according to campuses of specific industries to encourage networking among users and provide effective learning experience.
The Autodesk University training does not end after the event concludes, because users can continue learning from modules accessible in AU Online. Since they are registered guests from the Autodesk University event, they can access over 200 recorded sessions, screencasts and courses for software such as AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor, including those courses which they were not able to attend during the conference.
Previous Autodesk University events introduced PowerTracks, a group of classes wherein training is focused on a specific topic or product. Autodesk University 2007 offers more PowerTrack courses compared to the previous years, giving users more opportunity for in-depth, specialized training sessions for AutoCAD and Autodesk Inventor.
Since the courses are classified according to campuses of specific industries, Autodesk University saves users the time and effort of looking for those they want to attend. Some of the industry campuses are General Design, Architecture/Engineering/Construction, Manufacturing, Government, and Design Visualization, Media & Entertainment.
Autodesk, Inc. returns to the lavish Venetian Resort Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas for the convention site of the 2007 Autodesk University. The conference fees for the AU 2007 vary according to packages. The AU charges range from $2,145 for a four-day all-inclusive pass, to $75 for an exhibit-only pass. Many Autodesk University attendees comment that the fees are insubstantial compared to the location, lodging, training, food and education received from the annual convention.
Aside from highly informative courses and hands-on sessions, the Autodesk University is also an event where attendees and guests can take advantage of various special features and offers such as virtual conference bag inserts, contests, discounted fees for qualified educators and open doors discounts for those who attended a free half-day Open Doors training seminar.
Through the annual Autodesk University, Autodesk Inc. aims to give their clients and software users the competitive edge they can use to improve the performance of their companies. Autodesk Inc. is lauded by many scholars, intellectuals, business tycoons and critics for their efforts to provide only the best software training, techniques and tips during the annual Autodesk University.
